Infant-Parent Therapist

Position Summary:

Hands TheFamilyHelpNetwork.ca is seeking an individual to provide community-based prevention and early intervention services for infants and children 0 to 5 years of age who are or have the potential to be developmentally at risk.  This position will be based out of the agency’s Bracebridge site.

Hours Of Work:

*AMENDED* 35 hours per week to October 28, 2020

Hourly Rate/Salary:

Minimum $24.76 to maximum $31.32 per hour; Salary commensurate with education and experience

Closing: August 2nd, 2019


  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in social sciences with courses relevant to clinical practice with infants, children and families. Registered ECEs with clinical experience may be considered
  • One (1) year direct experience or two (2) years related experience
  • Experience working with infants, children, and families
  • Knowledge and experience in assessment and treatment best practices, related to infants, young children and families
  • Knowledge of child development and family systems theories
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to use a variety of computer software
  • A valid Ontario driver’s licence and use of a reliable motor vehicle
  • Clear Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable sector search
  • Preference will be given to bilingual (French and English) candidates
