Position Summary:

Hands TheFamilyHelpNetwork.ca is seeking a Manager of Financial Services to work closely with the Senior Manager of Financial Services team planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions. The Manager of Financial Services is responsible for all aspects of the accounting cycle and accountable for leading and managing the finance and central administration teams.

Hours Of Work:

Full-time permanent (35 hours per week)


North Bay, ON

Hourly Rate/Salary:

Minimum $35.08 to maximum $44.00 per hour
Salary commensurate with education and experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline;
• Professional CPA accounting designation;
• Minimum five (5) years of work experience in finance with three (3) years management / supervisory level experience, two (2) years or more experience in payroll or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience;

• Superior organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated strong leadership skills;
• Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills;
• Demonstrated mature judgment, diplomacy and discretion maintaining confidentiality;
• Expert in Microsoft Excel including Vlookup, pivot tables and reporting;
• Ability to analyze complex issues and summarize key findings;
• Strength in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders;
• Understanding of management principles related to administration, finance and human resources;
• Preference given to experience in the public sector;
• Actively demonstrate an ongoing commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, clients and their families, visitors and volunteers;
• Contribute and lead in the culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events for all in the organization;
• Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in Canada prior to commencing work;
• Preference will be given to bilingual (French/English) candidates;
• A valid Ontario driver’s licence and use of a reliable motor vehicle;
• Clear Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable sector search.
