Holiday Hours and Closures
During the holidays, Hands’ offices will be closed on the following dates:
- Tuesday, December 25, 2018;
- Wednesday, December 26, 2018; and,
- Tuesday, January 1, 2019.
Evening Hours will be cancelled from Monday, December 24th, 2018 to Friday, January 4th, 2019. Evening hours will resume the week of January 7th, 2019.
Crisis Supports
The Mental Health Crisis Line is available 24/7 throughout the holiday season, including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. The confidential Mental Health Crisis Line for children and youth, their families, caregivers and service providers, can be reached at 1.844.287.9072.
Hands’ Crisis Services are available daily until 9:00 pm throughout the holidays, with the exception of December 25th, 26th, and January 1st. Crisis Services offer immediate, time-limited supports for children and youth who are experiencing a mental health crisis.

Walk-In Counselling Clinics
Hands TheFamilyHelpNetwork.ca’s weekly Walk-In Counselling Clinics will be closed on December 25, 2018 and January 1, 2019.
Hands’ Walk-In Counselling Clinics gives children, youth and families the opportunity to meet with a Child and Family Therapist for a free therapy session, to address a mental health concern.
Autism Walk-In Clinics
Hands’ Autism Walk-In Clinic scheduled for Tuesday, January 1st is cancelled. The next Autism Clinic will be on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 and will be available for Walk-In at Hands’ Parry Sound location, or virtually from anywhere in North Eastern Ontario.
Autism virtual clinics, along with Hands’ in-person autism clinics, are available to families who have a child or youth diagnosed with autism, to address concerns as well as provide family supports and resources while waiting for behavioural services. Learn more about Hands’ Autism Walk-In Clinics.
