What are Child and Youth Mental Health Group Services?
Our professional clinical team offers a range of educational and therapy-based group sessions designed to help children, youth, and their families achieve their personal goals in a safe and engaging environment. Groups cover topics such as Coping with Anxiety, Emotion Regulation, Anger Management, Distress Tolerance, and Parenting Strategies.
All our groups are offered free of charge and led by experienced clinicians who use an evidenced-based, trauma-informed, and family-centered approach.
How do Group Services Work?
Our groups are offered both virtually and in-person. Most groups ask for weekly attendance and registration, while some are available as single sessions.
These groups provide support, education, and skill development to help children and youth manage their emotions, improve social skills, and enhance learning. Our aim is to improve your overall well-being and resilience.
Our caregiver groups can help parents and caregivers develop their skills and strengthen their relationship with their child or youth.
How do I Get Started?
We offer two access methods for our Child and Youth Mental Health groups.
Most groups are available after you have attended an in-person or on-line Counselling Clinic appointment where you connect with a therapist who will listen to your concerns and help you choose the most suitable group. Some groups are available via direct sign-up.
