What are adult clinical group services?
Our multidisciplinary clinical team offers a variety of group learning and intervention opportunities to help clients meet their personal goals alongside their peers, in a safe and fun online environment. Our groups cover a variety of topics including Relationship Skills, Sexuality, Life Skills, Wellbeing, and Communication.
Groups are facilitated by our experienced clinicians and were developed from a trauma-informed care lens.
How do group services work?
Groups are offered on-line using our free videoconferencing platform. Each group has a set of learning objectives to help clients understand what they will learn about and decide if this is a good match to their needs.
Some of our groups are registered groups with an expectation of weekly attendance, while others are designed as a drop-in group.
Our group learning opportunities focus on building knowledge, awareness, and understanding on a specific topic. Our group interventions focus on building new skills that clients will develop and apply over a longer period of time within a community of their peers.
To ensure clients are ready and able to join our groups, we offer teaching of how to use videoconference controls or work to develop safety plans as needed.
Our groups include an evaluation survey for clients to provide feedback at the end of the group. This helps us to improve our services over time.
We can customize service options for clients who could benefit from the content of our groups but may be unable to participate in a group format. Please contact us at [email protected] for more information.
How do I get started?
Your first step to accessing our clinical services is applying to Developmental Services Ontario. Developmental Services Ontario is the single point of access for all adult developmental services in Ontario.
Group registration is available to clients who have already been deemed eligible for service by Developmental Services Ontario.
