Youth Justice Committee Volunteer Opportunities
Make a positive difference in a young person’s life!
Hands has an immediate need for adult volunteers to help facilitate our Youth Justice Committee in the Sundridge/Parry Sound area.
What is the Youth Justice Committee?
The Youth Justice Committee offers an alternative to the court system, helping youth take responsibility for their actions. Volunteers facilitate discussion between the youth, their family, and those impacted by the offense to create a meaningful resolution. This is a fantastic opportunity to support your community, gain experience, and help youth make positive changes. Training is provided.
What is your commitment?
- Youth Justice Committee Conferences are held in Parry Sound or Sundridge.
- They are scheduled on weekdays from 4-6 PM.
- Volunteers typically attend 1 to 3 conferences per month (total 3-9 hours/month).
