This group will help teens who are struggling with anxiety, reporting symptoms of anxious distress, or have been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. Participants will learn about the anxiety cycle and effective coping strategies. They will learn how to change anxious thinking patterns through the use of a thought journal and by creating a safe environment in which to face fears. Parents and caregivers encouraged, but not required, to attend.
- 12 weekly 1.5-hour sessions. (9 sessions with the teens; 3 sessions with caregivers (Sessions 1,6, and 12))
- Maximum 10 participants
- Offered 3 times per year (fall, winter, spring)

Most groups are available after you have attended an in-person or on-line Counselling Clinic appointment where you connect with a therapist who will listen to your concerns and help you choose the most suitable group. Some groups are available via direct sign-up.
